Ex-UT receiver Briscoe charged with solicitation of prep player

He played pretty well for UT if I remember right

2007 he had 56 catches for 557 yards and 6 TD's.

He ended his career with 79 catches for 866 yards and 8 TD's

His senior year shoulda been better but the whole 2008 season was a cluster****

^ This guys right. It was kind of a joke that he sent to one of the kids he was coaching. It was something about a bet they had about something and Briscoe won the bet and joking told the kid that he had to "do something for him". Don't think he's gay or anything else. I just think he said something to a kid that he shouldn't considering the position he held. Most on here have done it or worse, he just shouldn't have considering where he was employed.

OIC hell we used to have guys that graduated and come practice we us we would kid and go about everything. I guess back then there was no texting.

Well then this situation got overblown terribly.

That is terrible reporting if that is true and they still wrote the article to seem like he was trying to solicit sex from an underage male minor.

If I was Briscoe, I would sue them and take them to the cleaners.

I don't think he can do anything because that's probably what he'll be charged with. When he gets to court and explains the deal and the kid vouches for him, I'd say he'll get something more of a slap on the wrist. I don't know if it'd be "Contributing...." or what, but he wont get anything for solicitation.
